Volunteer & Ambassador Program
Volunteers—whom we call Ambassadors—are at the heart of Cancer Support Community Greater NY & CT. Ambassadors bring warmth, compassion, and energy, helping to create a welcoming and supportive space for individuals and families impacted by cancer.
We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities that allow Ambassadors to share their time, skills, and talents in meaningful ways. Whether you’re supporting programs, assisting with special events, or helping behind the scenes, our volunteers play a vital role in strengthening connection, community, and care.
By becoming an Ambassador, you join a dedicated group committed to making a difference and supporting people through every step of their cancer journey.

Youth Committee Volunteer
The Youth Committee is a dedicated volunteer group of high school students from across the Greater NY & CT areas. Their mission is to raise awareness about the importance of cancer support and the role of CSCNYCT within their schools and communities.
As members of the Youth Committee, students work together to:
- Plan and host events
- Fundraise to support programs and services
- Create and share outreach and marketing materials
- Explore innovative ways to spread awareness of CSCNYCT
Meetings are interactive and hands-on, focusing on learning about cancer, emotional support, and the operations of nonprofit organizations. The intent is for members to gain valuable leadership skills and a deeper understanding of how nonprofits make a difference in the community.
Meetings are quarterly and enrollment is ongoing – students can join at any time. Complete this form below to get started and a staff member will reach out to you with more information.
